Where are the fields?
ACTON FIELDS:
There are three fields at McKenzie-Smith Bennett School, which is on Acton Boulevard, North of Hwy 7:
- The fields for Under-5 and for games for Under-7 and Under-9 are at the North end (playground end) of the school.
- The Large field (used by U-14 through to adult) runs parallel and next to Churchill Road.
- The Pool field (mostly used by Under-12 for games and for U7 and U9 for practices) is located at the Swimming Pool end (the South end) of the school.
There are parking lots at the North and South ends of the school, there is some parking along the fields next to the school, and you can park on Churchill Road next to the Pool and Large fields.
There is one field at Acton High School, Cedar Road, Acton. Cedar Road is on the right as you travel North on Churchill Road, North of Hwy 7. The field is behind the school, and you can park right next to the field.
There is also a field at Elizabeth Drive, which we also (wrongly but habitually) call Elizabeth St. You can park on the South side of Elizabeth Drive, next to the field.
Maps
ROCKWOOD:
Rockmosa Field:
If you are traveling from Acton, go West on Hwy 7.
Drive through Rockwood until you reach the turn-off where Hwy 7 (West, towards Guelph) makes a left turn. Don’t do that; instead, go straight on.
Cross the railway tracks.
Just after the railway tracks, Rockmosa Community Center is on the left. The entrance is guarded by a pair of stone lions. Go past them (quietly) and park. The soccer fields are on the side furthest from the road.
Centennial PS:
Usually, games at Rockwood are played at Rockmosa. But sometimes this one is used, so here’s how to get there.
If you are traveling from Acton, go West on Hwy 7.
Drive through Rockwood until you reach the turn-off where Hwy 7 (West, towards Guelph) makes a left turn. Follow it: that is, stay on Hwy 7 going West.
Take the third road on the left, this is Passmore Street. Centennial School is on your right, 200m along the road.
Eden Mills Field:
This is the new field for 2005.
Go West on Hwy 7 from Acton. Turn left on Town Line Road, just as the highway is about to bend round to the right. Follow this road into Eden Mills. As you get into town, do not follow the main road to the right as it crosses the water: go straight on, take first left (Memorial St) and the soccer field is in the park on your left.

GRAND VALLEY:
Remember that Grand Valley is usually windier and colder than Acton by a good few degrees!
There are a number of ways of getting to Grand Valley, here’s one that works, it takes about 40 minutes from Acton to the soccer field.
From Acton, go North on 25, which, strictly speaking, is now County Road 125.
At the lights at Ospringe, turn right onto 124 (formerly known as Hwy 24) going East.
Take 124 East to the traffic lights at Brisbane, at the intersection with Trafalgar Road.
Turn left to go North on Trafalgar Road.
Keep going North on Trafalgar (also known as County Road 24), through Hillsburgh, and for quite some time until you get to a T-junction with County Road 109.
Turn left (going West) on County Road 109.
Third right (which is the first MAJOR right) is sign posted towards Grand Valley. Turn right here, it is known as County Road 25 and once it is in Grand Valley, it is Water Street.
Stay on this street all the way through Grand Valley. As you come out of the town, you will find the hockey arena on the left side of the road.
Turn left into the arena parking lot. The soccer field is behind the arena.
PUSLINCH.
There are two fields that are used by Puslinch and they are a LONG way apart. So make sure which one you want, you go there by different routes. It’s not far from Acton to Puslinch, about 20 minutes is normal.
Badenoch Field.
This one is in the middle of nowhere. Here’s a route that works, check your map for others.
Go South from Acton on 25.
Turn right at Speyside onto 15 Sideroad.
Stay on 15 Sideroad until you get to a T-junction. This means go across Guelph Line at the traffic light at the gas station, and the road will change its name going through Moffat. But stay on it!
At the T-junction, turn left (South) on 11 Concession (which should also be named Road 36). You’re going to stay on Road 36, which will split off to the right after only about 500m.
Take the first right, which is Road 36.
Follow Road 36 until you enter Badenoch, and you will see a soccer field on your left, no other signs of a town.
Puslinch Community Center (which is in Aberfoyle).
Here’s an easy way to Puslinch Community Center, which is in Aberfoyle.
Go South from Acton on 25, take the first right on the edge of town - 25 Side Road (also known as Road 12)
Turn left (South) on Guelph Line.
About 2km South on Guelph Line, turn right onto Road 34.
Stay on Road 34 going West until you get to Brock Road, also known as Road 46.
Turn left (South) on 46 / Brock Road.
Puslinch Community Park is on your right, in Aberfoyle. As usual, the soccer field is behind the main building.

This is HEADS new facility and it is gorgeous. To get there: go North on the former Hwy 25 (now 125) to Ospringe. Turn right at the lights at Ospringe onto the former Hwy 24 (now 124). When you get to the lights at Brisbane, turn left onto Trafalgar Road going North. At the lights at Wellington Road 22, turn right going East. The soccer fields are on your left at the junction of Wellington 22 and 8th Line.
